SLGA019
For Grand Seiko, the natural environment of Japan is an endless source of inspiration. Grand Seiko dials often evoke the uniquely Japanese beauty of the very places where its watches are made. And one body of water to the southeast of the Shinshu Watch Studio, the home of Spring Drive, is a perfect example.
The blue dial evokes the surface of Lake Suwa and its gentle waves in the early morning hours when a breeze stirs the long, shallow lake. It manifests different colors depending on the angle at which it catches the light, reinforcing the connection to wind moving across and changing the surface of the water.
Powering the SLGA019 is the Caliber 9RA2 Spring Drive movement, assembled by the skilled artisans of the Shinshu Watch Studio and capable of approximately 120 hours (5 days) of operation when fully wound. Just as the dial reflects the changing character of a wind-swept lake, the smooth seconds hand moves with the effortless flow of time thanks to this state-of-the-art movement.
