BVLGARI has gathered a very selected audience of guests for a private screening of its docufilm INSIDE THE DREAM, an exciting journey through the Maison’s world of wonder.
Offering an unprecedented look behind the scenes of the whole creative process of its one-of-a-kind High Jewelry collections, BVLGARI uncovers the secrets of the process of making, from the stunning gems to the red carpet, from dream to magnificent reality, following the footsteps of Lucia Silvestri, BVLGARI’s Jewelry Creative & Gems Buying Director.
Known as the woman who buys the most extraordinary gemstones in the world, Lucia Silvestri learnt her business directly from the Bulgari family, making her way year after year into a largely male-dominated industry. From the search for precious gems in Jaipur, India, to the conception of unique pieces in BVLGARI’s headquarter in Rome, through the masterful artisanal production at BVLGARI’s Workshop, a secret location where the most exclusive jewels are crafted, each stage of the journey uncovers the unique talents and skills that come into play in the quest for wonder.
The ultimate purpose of a jewel is definitely to be worn. And this is how BVLGARI’s daily mission is intertwined with the life of five extraordinary women, longtime friends of the Roman Jeweler, such as American actress Zendaya, BLACKPINK singer Lalisa aka LISA, and U.S.-based Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
A stellar cast of multifaceted women, with different backgrounds, stories and talents, united by intimate, personal and inspiring ties, as well as by the same love for beauty and breathtaking jewelry.
One of these stunning creations is the Serpenti Hypnotic Emerald necklace, a caliber of craft treasuring a staggering 93.83 carat Colombian cabochon-cut emerald with its sinuous body preciously set with diamonds and emeralds.
As the first person ever to wear the magnificent masterpiece, Zendaya made a mesmerizing arrival at the red carpet of the 78th Venice International Film Festival, unveiling to the world the breathtaking result of a year-long journey.
To celebrate this unique premiere, BVLGARI and long-time partner KESSARIS, at the presence of Lucia Silvestri, Maison’s Jewelry Creative & Gems Buying Director, hosted an exclusive screening of INSIDE THE DREAM in the brand new 33 Sygrou Theater, located in the cultural axis of Athens.
The Hall was decorated extraordinarily in saffron color, a very distinctive hue of the Maison, with special windows showcasing a selection of the most iconic BVLGARI's High Jewelry creations gathered in Athens just for this special occasion.
Guests could exceptionally admire up close one-of-a-kind jewels from the Serpenti Collection, the emblem of creative freedom, magnetic charm and infinite metamorphosis, born under the sign of exquisite craftsmanship and visionary design; to Divas’ Dream Collection, which embodies joy, beauty, elegance and grace and to Monete, one of the most celebrated BVLGARI icons ever, the pieces mounting antique coins, which debuted in the ‘60s encouraged by the enthusiastic coin collector, Nicola Bulgari.
Among the jewels presented, a breathtaking High Jewelry necklace in pink gold with one cushion green tourmaline (30.89 ct), 156 buff-top rubellites (12.64 ct) and pavé-set diamonds (26.78 ct) captured the imagination of the audience.
These High Jewelry Creations are unique works of art and embody the Brand’s DNA: exquisite craftsmanship, creative color combinations and gems' cuts, an unrivalled flair for volume and ongoing innovation.
Welcomed by Lucia Silvestri and the Kessaris family, the numerous guests included clients, press, and a range of celebrities such as the famous tennis player Maria Sakkari, 7th in the world women’s ranking.
